Oooops! I accidently ordered the wrong thing, but it turned out to be not such a bad thing. I ordered a "FlameThrower" Burger for a quick Saturday at work lunch, and found a bit of a kick with the first bite. When checking the DQ website later, I discovered that the kick was the sliced pepper/jack cheese and the jalapeno bacon. I left off the "Tabasco mayo", but it would probably have added a bit more "flame" to this burger. Not all mistakes are a bad thing. I would definitely grab this for my hubby on a "I'm not cooking dinner tonight" night at our house.

Best fast food burger in my opinion, and of course there is ice cream. Peanut Buster parfait or Oreo Blizzard, please. This Dairy Queen typically has friendlier staff than the one on the North End of town, so gets higher marks. Traffic is not as busy here either, nice place to ride your bike to. I think the season might be shorter for this DQ though.

Clean, fast, and always busy, especially on summer nights, as it's the only fast food downtown. For ice cream, though, there's definitely better alternatives (see my review of the Atrium Cafe) in my opinion. It's close to waterfront and the new Riverwalk, and convent to everything downtown. I wish there were more picnic tables outside, as there are only five booths inside, and they are really 2-tops, not 4-tops. All in all, it's a solid 3.

My friend and I were craving ice cream while we walked the local boardwalk so we stopped at DQ. Bad idea. When we got there there was several people in front of us but the cashier said they were looking at the menu still and asked if we needed help. A couple in front of us left because they were head to order and the cashier didn't want to assist them. I ordered a Mr. Misty Freeze. Now it's not on the menu any longer but it's a signature item and every DQ I've ever been to has made it and knows what it is. The cashier handed me a blue raspberry slush. I stood there for a minute so I could get my order redone but the cashier was too busy talking football to another coworker to even care. Rude.
